Don't Tell Dad explores the fear of becoming like our parents and inheriting the same darkness that exists in them. How much do our parents really affect who we eventually become?

 

Ava - a defiant and struggling teenage girl shockingly finds out that her father is the man behind the vicious murders occurring in their hometown. Ava finding out that her father is a serial killer and her mother has been covering for his crimes for years, shatters her whole world and makes her question her entire identity: if this is who my father is - who am I then? Ava already deep down knows this same evilness exists in her, but is still in persistent denial.  As she then confronts her father during a family dinner, she is forced to face the painful truth, that she and her father might not be all that different afterall...
